Below are the WEEK 2 exercises. If you missed WEEK 1, click here to catch up.
Below are 8 exercises that can be done at home, because seminarians have recorded their singing of these exercises. Here is how to do these exercises at home:
1- LISTEN to the singing while following the notes on the page,
2- AUDIATE the exercises: read the notes silently, in your head. No voice.
3- SING aloud the result of your AUDIATION. Do not play the recording.
4- Now play the recording and SING ALONG. If steps 2 and 3 are done carefully, this step 4 will allow you to identify what parts of the exercise you do not yet know how to read. We can then fix that in the in-person sessions. The first step of learning to read is to identify and acknowledge what we do not know how to read. This is what we do in this step 4, by identifying the differences between the singing of the seminarians and our own singing, formed in step 2 and 3.
Take your time, go at your own pace.
